Mr. Lenert practices in the areas of personal injury & wrongful death, medical malpractice and general and commercial litigation. He has experience representing injured individuals as well as businesses and government entities.

Bar Admission: He was admitted to the practice of law in Illinois in 2008. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Education: He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Marquette University in 2005 and his law degree cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2008. He is a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society and the Order of Omega Honor Society.

  • Old Second Nat'l Bank v Rush Copley Medical Center et al: With Patrick M. Flaherty, obtained the largest reported birth injury settlement or verdict in Kane County history of $5 million for a 7-year-old girl who suffered brain damage and cerebral palsy from delayed cesarean section.
     
  • With Patrick M. Kinnally, obtained $225,000 for family whose property was flooded due to the negligent design and construction of a detention basin.
     
  • Obtained $100,000 policy limits for 57-year-old woman who suffered a broken leg when struck by an uninsured motorist while crossing the street in Maywood, Illinois.
     
  • Obtained $100,000 policy limits for a 46-year-old woman with soft tissue neck and shoulder injuries after being struck by a drunk driver who crossed the center line.
     

Professional Associations: He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), the Kane County Bar Association (KCBA), the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Personal: Mr. Lenert was born in Aurora, Illinois on October 2, 1982. He is a lifelong resident of the Fox Valley. He attended grade school at Holy Angels in Aurora and high school at Marmion Academy.
